From Michael (Joe):
Hey Everyone!
20 years? Wow! Not much to tell here. I have been working for the family business for the past 16 1/2 years and will probably die working there. After school, my high school girlfriend Coletta Barth and I got married. This only lasted a year. Yes, I finally stood up for myself and announced to the world that I am in fact gay. (as if nobody already knew). I have had a few long term relationships since then, but currently single and still looking for Mr. Right. You know the old saying "Men are Pigs", well you don't know how true that is.
After my last relationship, I thought I might not find that "perfect man" is there such a thing? Anyways, I was tired of living my life alone and since I've always wanted children, and it was obvious that I wasn't going to have them naturally, I decided to adopt. Thankfully, times have changed enough to allow adoptions by openly gay people. I adopted a 14 year old heterosexual boy who had been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused by both his parents from birth to the age of 7. He has adjusted well and has overcome his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and his Attachment Disorder. He has gone from straight Fs in School to A's & Cs. Although he is older, it was still overwhelming the first time he called me Dad. He, like all teenagers, tests the limits, but is doing well overall considering what his life has been like. Being in the county's custody from age 7 to age 14 is not easy for anyone. Well guess that wraps it up in a nutshell.
On the lighter side of things, if anyone knows of a single guy looking for a relationship, send them my way LOL!
